Since he had pancreatic cancer, he lived a lot longer than more than 96% of the people who get it. If you remember Gene Upshaw three years ago, he was diagnosed 3 days before he passed away.

 

Before the unveiling yesterday people were wondering if he would be part of the presentation in some way. But, when he took leave of absences in the past, he said he would only step down when he realized he will not be able to return, he retired about 6 weeks ago.

Jobs was diagnosed with a rare form of "treatable" pancreatic cancer in 2004, thus the longevity with the diagnosis. In a world where there aren't very many corporate leaders to respect, he was the exception. Prayers to his family and friends tonight.
