October 6, 201114 yr I am not a big fan of apple computers. However, I do love my iPhone and iPad. The man was definitely an innovator and visionary. It is always sad to see anyone pass away from such a horrible disease. Hopefully, with the technology Jobs and Gates have started, the medical industries will make advances in cancer research and will be able to put an end to this disease. It's very rare to see a man at such a young age, change the world the way that Steve Jobs did!

October 6, 201114 yr I'll admit, I'm 30 now, and I was probably 26 or 27 before I had a clue who he was. I'm not particularly a technology junkie...my cell phone is a cheapie...as in a $35 special, and I just only bought my first laptop (a Toshiba) a couple of years ago. Apart from my iPod, Apple has never even registered on my mental map. My introduction to Steve Jobs was literally a SNL skit that lampooned him after he introduced the iPhone.

It is disheartening that there were none about Rev. Shuttlesworth but I wasn't annoyed by the Jobs updates. The man was an innovator and an inspiration to many, rightfully so I might add.

The guy marched with MLK and was in the MIDDLE of the civil rights movement. Plus, he's been a Cincy guy for a while so we should know him and pay tribute to him.

I agree that Shuttlesworth did many amazing things himself, some of which can be deemed as some of the most important actions of the last 50 years. However, I think the non-mention of Shuttlesworth over all the tweets and facebook status' about Jobs has to be chalked up to relevance. Many of the people on Facebook and Twitter are at the oldest barely in the mid-30's. So many of them do not know that much about Shuttlesworth and know more about iPods, iPads, and iPhones, thus making Steve Jobs more relevant to their personal lives. I don't hink it was anything intentional.

First, the Rev was almost 90, he has had years of people appreciating what he has done, just a thought. I also bet that Oher has no idea who the Rev was either.
