McNeil is a nice player but he gets away with a ton on offense. I'd put my most physical player on him and then challenge the refs to actually call the push off, if he can do it.
IMO, then your most "physical player" will foul himself out trying to guard McNeil. McNeil has the ability to draw fouls, plan and simple. It's a skill that most players do not have. There are several players that deserve a selection on the pre-season top 10, but to not have McNeil on there makes the list a joke.

They will foul out most assuredly if they are playing at WV. I can appreciate a kid who likes contact and gets to the line. I've only seen him one time and he just seemed to push off in that one game. Excellent shooter as well and should be on the list.

He is still one of the best in the region. Who else does WV have this year?

Are you looking for someone else to mention that Kinmon has gone back to WV:D

Has he been declared eligible?

Has he been declared eligible?

Can't answer that at this time....however, he is a great kid and hope theres no further issues for J-Bird. Not if, but when he does become eligible, WV will gain from his presence on the floor!

What seems to be the problem there? First at Walton then back to Grant then back to Walton. Something smells!

McNeil and Hargett are both deserving IMO. Sometimes I wonder if McNeil would be better off not trying to draw contact on every offensive move he makes. I have watched him turn many a routine shot/move into an off balance shot/move resulting in a missed shot. Probably has a lot to do with youth.

 No. I wasn't going to mention it. I was trying to see who he would be playing with. I knew of McNeil and Hargett but I didn't know of anyone else.

:idunno: I'm sure the coaches didn't like that he went to WV and then came back so I'm not sure how that would of played out. Too bad. He was their best player.

Anyone will greatly benefit with Kinmon on the floor. He is a smart ball player, handles the ball great and can shoot the ball on any given night.

Guess we're talking about 2 different players.

No. We're not.

Trimble Has Alexander and Barnes Alexander can pretty much shoot any where you feed him the ball. Barnes is 6'2 i beleive and will help on the inside i think Alexander is 6'3 but im not for sure.
Alexander was 6 ft. last season, he may have grown during the summer. He is a streak shooter, last season he was either hitting or missing. He will be their go to guy this season in my opinion and I'm sure his shooting has improved greatly. Trimble lost their top rebounder and scorer with Webb graduating.

Jalen is a nice kid who is a pretty solid basketball player. He comes from a stable family that prioritizes athletics. He will probably help Walton.

But this is not a devastating blow to Grant County, they have enough guard play to overcome his departure. If he was a 6'6 post player then things may be different.

Nothing fishy about good contract negotiations for his senior year! He's going to school so that one of the many things required for eligibility!

McNeil returns with Hargett (6'5") foward (return starter), Tanner Moeves guard (return starter), Daniel Helton (6'5') forward, Cole Moser (6'6") center....and if Kinmon can get eligible he will give depth to the guard position.

I would say anyone who leaves Grant County will hurt them. About 3 seasons years ago they had quite a few guards, one of the top guards left and Grant ended up falling way short of their potential. They had a 5+ players left that were over 6'2. I'm sure people thought they could still get over that hump, but losing a top player may not be a devastating blow, but it may be just enough.
