Wow I am surprised Nick Ayers from SK is not on that list.

I wouldnt be suprised if Trimble County doesnt suprise some teams this year, New coach has had them working alot i hear.

Trimble has all the variables lined up to surprise some people this year. They have a new coach which will bring a lot of excitement; they are heavy with Seniors, every player becomes immediately better when they turn a senior (confidence thing). They host the ALL - A and the District tournament this year. If they can get some breaks early in the year and get a few wins, this could be a recipe for them to have a good year. Good LUCK to the RAIDERS!

Seriously? See 2010-2011 stats on KHSAA or Maxpreps.

I dont think its all about stats. Ayers has a lot of upside with his length. Sampson put it in the hole last year and is a very nice player. They will have a few nice scoring options with those three Chambers, Sampson and Ayers.

McNeil off the list is just silly, he can flat play and was on the all region team last year. Will be a great year to watch basketball in the 8th region

Trimlbe lost Webb off last years team and he was the only size, scorer, rebounder for them. I think they will be much improved and excited about playing. Playing against the ALL A teams will help them, but a tough tough district!

Trimble Has Alexander and Barnes Alexander can pretty much shoot any where you feed him the ball. Barnes is 6'2 i beleive and will help on the inside i think Alexander is 6'3 but im not for sure.

I agree that Alexander is a good player, but they lost their top scorer, rebounder, and post presence. I just dont want the people in Bedford to be mad at a first year coach when they dont win 15-20 games, 10 would be a great start for the Raiders, he will do a good job, be patient.

I dont think people in Bedford will be mad with this coach Now Lauster yes, He just wasnt the right coach Trimble has alot ot talent I forgot to mention Ward he can shoot the 3 ball and he is a very good ball handler. 15-20 games maybe? Maybe not i think they will win alot more then they have the past 2 years Leep knows his stuff and from what i hear he has a pretty good coaching staff as well. It seems like everyone from Carroll Co. is making ways to Trimble now.

McNeil is a nice player but he gets away with a ton on offense. I'd put my most physical player on him and then challenge the refs to actually call the push off, if he can do it.

He is still one of the best in the region. Who else does WV have this year?

I agree. They also have the other guard Moeves who can shoot very well and is a scorer. I would expect them to have a very nice team.

Walton has a senior forward Hargett. Very athletic. Also a 6'5" forward Helton is a transfer from Calvary Christian. Helton was probably Calvary's best player coming back next year.

I don't know enough about 8th region talent to take a player off the top 10 list but I find it hard to believe McNeil isn't one of the ten best. Hargett was the difference in the 32nd championship game, he took over that game down the stretch.
