HT721 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 As some of you on here may or may not know, my wife is currently going through a fight with cancer. Well this caused us to return home to the bluegrass, and in a deep dark hour I went out and bought her season basketball tickets. I'm going to get to live my nightmare 20 times over this year, no scratch that 19 times over (I will still wear Ole Miss colors that game), and be forced to cheer for UK while she enjoys herself.
hoops5 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 You are a devoted husband! I hope for healing for your wife, and wonderful memories of UK games!
MJAlltheWay24 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Very awesome sacrifce you're making HT721. I'm sure your wife is going to really appreciate that!
bugatti Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 HT, we are all thinking about you in this difficult time. Your wife is a strong individual with a great rooting interest. Enjoy the ride and good basketball.
Voice of Reason Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 As you watch these games and your wife cheering for the Wildcats, when you stand alongside her, focus your cheering for her. Take that positive energy and root her on as she enjoys these moments and fights this battle. I am sure your cheers will be the loudest in the arena.
HT721 Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 I do appreciate the support and prayers guys. It's been a rough couple of months but she does have a good diagnosis and great doctors we really trust treating everything.
2 Humped Camel Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I feel so bad for you, such a horrible thing to have to actually watch good basketball. That is a very nice jester to your wife and I wish her nothing but the best in her fight.
spindoc Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Good luck with everything, and by the way, if you need a stand in to go suffer thru a game with your wife, I don't think you'll run out of candidates in this forum who would sacrifice just for you in your time of need.

Don't tell her that, she's already threatened to leave me home for the Carolina and Louisville games if I show any acts of disobedience in the early games.
Hangman Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Don't tell her that, she's already threatened to leave me home for the Carolina and Louisville games if I show any acts of disobedience in the early games. Does that mean you have to CHEER?! :scared: Or just not boo?
HT721 Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Does that mean you have to CHEER?! :scared: Or just not boo? I'm not sure, I'm afraid I might get taken over or brainwashed after this is over though and actually like them. That is scary to me, and to beat all if it happens and I start to like them UK will win the title and I'll be labeled another bandwagon jumper, and rightfully so labeled.
bugatti Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 It is one thing to watch on television and dislike. But actually attending events and not get consumed over a season may be too tough of a hurdle for you. Go on an get you some blue/white pom-poms.
Clyde Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 How do you just go out and buy season tickets?
formerkywrestler Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 How do you just go out and buy season tickets?Short of a ton of $$$$ I'm curious myself.
formerkywrestler Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 This is awesome HT721 and I'll keep your family in my thoughts. P.S. Where are they seats?
