September 29, 201114 yr Clyde, I just read your article you posted. it seemed it came from Travis. I'm done on this issue Roll Tide!
September 29, 201114 yr Author The SUV is a 2007, his tag is 2011. That is not what his ticket said. http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/docs-richardsons-2011-yukon-with-large-rims-29854
September 29, 201114 yr CCC, Tidefans.com, send a message to them and get what I got. Its free, in fact there are hardly any posts on this story. Lets just wait and see if anything happens. Its weird how none of the reporters in Alabama who also hate us have not jumped on this, it comes from a guy in Nashville. Wonder why? I'll say this, we have had major issues since 1994, and anything bad could put us away for years. So, you bashers are saying Trent got things that would put us back on probation and kill our football program, while he runs to the pros next year? The program is so much bigger than one player, but y'all keep on believeing this guy in Nashville. Julio Jones donated a huge sum of funds to the town of Foley Alabama to the Youth football programs. Trent also has some buddies in the pros. I'm just saying that there are legal ways he can have things. Trent Richardson or any other football player right now could care less about the future of their program.
September 29, 201114 yr  Trent Richardson or any other football player right now could care less about the future of their program. I agree. :thumb: We are in the Me, Me, Me Generation. These kids don't care about their programs.
September 29, 201114 yr He is from Florida so that would make him a nonresident and would make tuition $22,000 a year. ($4300 was resident only for a semester.)OK, why would he qualify for $80-$100K in schools loans when he has a full ride no matter what you or I would pay? Especially for that money to be spent on cars.

These kids don't care about their programs. In the moment, maybe true. But it is only fair to point out many give back post-career. There is a lot of "me" attitude out there, but you hear all the time of guys giving back to their school. I know Suh gave back 2.6 million to Nebraska. Guys come back all time to UK for charity purposes.
September 29, 201114 yr OK, why would he qualify for $80-$100K in schools loans when he has a full ride no matter what you or I would pay? Especially for that money to be spent on cars. I don't think they can...I know they can qualify for the federal pell grant (doesn't have to be paid back) and that was $5k a year last year. I think they can also qualify for a stafford loan which is between 2500 and 4 k a year. I don't think they can take any other federal student loans. Now as for loans from a bank, I guess they can do whatever they want as far as loans go...

That should be reserved for those who actually need it.
September 29, 201114 yr I agree. :thumb: We are in the Me, Me, Me Generation. These kids don't care about their programs. I don't disagree with you on this but what is just as bad...the coaches/programs (in several cases) don't care about the kids. It's all about the win and the money. This has trickled down to the high school and grade school levels as well.
September 29, 201114 yr In the article it shows the year of the ticket, they edited out the year of the SUV, research. Go to Tidefans.com We have a very strict complience department, Oh I mentioned that didn't I.
September 29, 201114 yr Boy Tony, that comment is right on 100%. The schools pay the coaches million dollar salries, the players want their part, and the middle school kids/coaches see this too. It will only get worse. Trent getting a SUV 2011 isn't so bad, ( we drive an 2006) its the wheels/rims, but hey I guess he has the right to do so as long as its legal. My kid went to college and we gave him a car 2002 Malibu. Kid wanted a car.
September 29, 201114 yr Hammer, I was just reporting what they were saying on Tidefans. I'll go and ask who stated it was a 2007. Its still legal and we are not in trouble.
