September 29, 201114 yr Hammer, I was just reporting what they were saying on Tidefans. I'll go and ask who stated it was a 2007. Its still legal and we are not in trouble. Well don't tell other people to research when you are posting things as fact when in fact you didn't do your research. I don't really care either way I am sure he got this with some help from someone and it goes on everywhere. I doubt much will come of it.
September 29, 201114 yr Boy Tony, that comment is right on 100%. The schools pay the coaches million dollar salries, the players want their part, and the middle school kids/coaches see this too. It will only get worse. Trent getting a SUV 2011 isn't so bad, ( we drive an 2006) its the wheels/rims, but hey I guess he has the right to do so as long as its legal. My kid went to college and we gave him a car 2002 Malibu. Kid wanted a car. So it doesn't bother you how it looks for the star running back for the Crimson Tide to be driving a 2011 Yukon with custom rims knowing he comes from a background with the inability to afford that vehicle? Legal or not(and for the record I seriously doubt the legality of his ownership of the vehicle) it doesn't look good at all. That doesn't bother you at all?
September 29, 201114 yr 92, notice the thread is about Trent getting Bama in trouble with the 2007/2011 SUV, I wrote that our main car is a 2006 Buick SUV. I'd be a fool to say this doesn't bother me, no one wants negative junk about their school. Colin Cowherd said this monring "kentucky basketball wins because they skim over issues to get the wins", now if I was a huge Cats fan I'd be calling Cowherd. But when its legal and I know our complience on cars own by students I have to defend the issue as is. That Pinto would be a great fit, but remember they were gas machines that exploded on impact and Trent has two girls he loves. I'd rather not to deal with this but worry about the gators, but fair is fair.

But, I agree with you on the research and I have done a lot when others just post what the Bama haters have done. I even called the school, hope this helps, I'm very through. I just think it is bad judgement on Trent's part to be driving around in a vehicle that everyone knows he can't afford. It becomes an unnecessary distraction and brings in much unneeded scrutiny to the program. I understand it goes on everywhere and that is fine. I just wish for once these kids/boosters/programs would be smarter with their cheating. Why in the world would Saban okay this?
