September 28, 201114 yr He would likely qualify for close to 80-100k in just federal subsidized and unsubsidized loans. Those loans can be used for transportation purposes.... Why would someone on a full ride qualify for loans of $80-$100K to attend a school that only cost $4300 per semester to attend (tuition only). Serious question because I don't know how these loans work.
September 28, 201114 yr When I die I am SOOOOOO coming back as Alabama, I mean Auburn, I mean Ohio State, "insert school here" athlete!:lol::lol::lol:
September 28, 201114 yr If I'm Trent, I go find a lime green Ford Pinto and pimp it out and then dare someone to question it  Nice one Scribe!!!
September 28, 201114 yr Did I miss something? I had no idea rims made your car go faster?:idunno:
September 28, 201114 yr UK... Roll Tide! I could have mentioned 13 national championships, but wanted to share with you how the program is doing. All schools who do well cheat. Coach Bryant even had said, "if they knew what I did back then, they would ran me out of town pronto"! There boosters out there for every school, but look at the Canes, that guy got mad, my deal with you is I have stated on here many times on our problems in the past 20 years, but yet you protray me as a Bama guy who sets here and thinks we are prefect, and I have issues on that. I know a lot about our school and will answer any questions about Logan Young/Gene Jelks/Antiono Langum/Albert Means/ Coach Stallings/ Coach Dubose. All have been mentioned by me on here, who has caused us problems where we have paid for it. All schools even Penn State have Boosters who want to win and will do anything to do so, and we all know that. Even me. Tony, ever get a ticket for speeding, I have and gave any re mark I could to get out of it. "I have to use the potty", my son said in the back seat once. It worked...
September 28, 201114 yr Author CCC, Tidefans.com, send a message to them and get what I got. Its free, in fact there are hardly any posts on this story. Lets just wait and see if anything happens. Its weird how none of the reporters in Alabama who also hate us have not jumped on this, it comes from a guy in Nashville. Wonder why? I'll say this, we have had major issues since 1994, and anything bad could put us away for years. So, you bashers are saying Trent got things that would put us back on probation and kill our football program, while he runs to the pros next year? The program is so much bigger than one player, but y'all keep on believeing this guy in Nashville. Julio Jones donated a huge sum of funds to the town of Foley Alabama to the Youth football programs. Trent also has some buddies in the pros. I'm just saying that there are legal ways he can have things. Larry, you are incorrect on your assumption as to where this story came from. SportsByBrooks has been on Bama, the clothes store booster, and now Richardson for quite some time. Travis just picked it up and made fun of the responses he got from Bama fans.
September 28, 201114 yr Did I miss something? I had no idea rims made your car go faster?:idunno:They don't but your speedometer is calibrated to the size of the factory rims/tires (the overall diameter). If you change to a bigger or smaller then your speedometer will not be accurate unless you get it recalibrated.

What a cheapskate. He probably isn't a good tipper either.
September 28, 201114 yr Why would someone on a full ride qualify for loans of $80-$100K to attend a school that only cost $4300 per semester to attend (tuition only). Serious question because I don't know how these loans work. I cringe if a full ride qualifies for federally subsidized loans to that degree, and normal, everyday students have to work to meet the gaps between what they can get in grants/loans and the actual costs of school. My son went to a private university, and we never qualified for that much aid in one year. I think over the course of 5 years, including his masters year, the total was approximately $70K
September 28, 201114 yr Just for clarification purposes, Clay Travis hates pretty much everybody except for UT...he doesn't have it "out" for Bama. I listen to him pretty much daily and he's an equal opportunity hater.
September 28, 201114 yr I'd be very nervous if I were an Alabama fan. I'd come up with excuses to try and justify it and hope for the best in the meantime... But I'd be very, very nervous. Just as I was very, very nervous when Rondo was rollin' in a Denali 5 years back.

Serious question because I don't know how these loans work. He is from Florida so that would make him a nonresident and would make tuition $22,000 a year. ($4300 was resident only for a semester.)
September 29, 201114 yr Not surprised by this; this is taking place with more players and at more colleges than people may be able to count.
