I would rather have a son that is prepared for the real world and has been shown that showing respect and good morals will be major part of their lives. There is no greater role model than Mr. Schneider.

Don't tell me about morals and respect of the man that picks and chooses which kids to treat fairly and which ones not to. A very good basketball player who attended NCC once told a few people, myself included how badly he was treated by Schneider. I don't believe that a popular player, who set school records at NCC would have lied about his treatment. He could not wait to get away from Schneider. Being prepared for the real world no doubt comes from parents but others do have an effect on your children. There are two sides to every story. I am sure with as many kids as Mr. Schneider has coached, he has run across a few that personalities didn't mix. You can't always make everyone happy. All I care about is now and how my kids are treated.

Schneider doesn't coach basketball and he isn't the AD. Was he the AD when this player attended NCC? If not, I really don't know what you're getting at.

Mr. Schneider has nothing to prove to Highlands or anyone else. We are a 1A school and we proved that we deserved to win the State Title in that division. Why don't you just give the man some credit for what he has done and accomplished over the years instead of finding ways to take credit away from him.

 

 

And Highlands is a 3A school that routinely takes on all comers regardless of class. Colerain, Elder and all the Kentucky big schools. No ducking anyone. Beechwood is the same way. The only NKY school that claims to be one of the best around but fails to prove it, by playing the best, is Schneider and the Breds. Not that the players have anything to do with the schedule. That is all on Bob. So if he wants his critics silenced, it is time to man up and take on the NKY has to offer. Then there will be no excuses. For now, the Breds have a title for 2005 but they are only the 2nd best team in Campbell county or for that matter the 2nd best team in a 3 mile radius of their school. The NCC fans should lobby Bob to take a trip up the hill and meet the Birds to settle this on the field. But if all NCC fans have the same attitude you do, then you can go on forever playing second fiddle to the Birds.

Maybe but they don't play those games in the first three weeks of the season.

It would be a waste of a game to play NCC. The birds won't benefit anything by playing them. I would rather travel to Louisville and see the birds play St. X, Trinity, or a high caliber team like those two. Even if they lose it will only benefit them later on in the season. Dale has done a good job to make his teams better year in and year out by scheduling great football teams to play. If he scheduled NCC he would be doing an injustice to the program.

Dale has built this program by playing high profile and high caliber teams. NCC does not fit in that class. The only people who want to see the this match up is the NCC fans.

Your first paragraph is why Highlands moved on to other opponents. The NCC game used to fall directly before Highlands district games (back when they were in a larger district and NCC's was smaller.) When Highlands district games shrunk and they had the opportunity to play marquee games against strong Ohio opposition they wisely jumped on it instead of playing a Class A school in a "super pumped" game. I think Mueller knows how to prepare his teams for the district and playoff runs a little better than the fans do and I don't think you could argue with his results. Even in the most recent dreaded "down" year he still won the district by preparing his team properly.
