I like everything about Scott County except their schedule. I don't think we know. With that said, I hope the Cards are all that and a bag of chips.

^ Agreed. Central KY large-school football isn't much to write home about this season and the Cardinals haven't exactly taxed themselves with this year's slate.

I think you should see them in the state finals. The opposite district is Eastern, Fern Creek, Ballard and Oldham County so they should be favored to win their region. The biggest threats in the early rounds may come from fellow district members Bryan Station and Henry Clay. The opposite region has the northern Kentucky schools along with Lafayette, GRC, Tates Creek and Madison Central.

 

Certainly their road to Bowling Green won't be easy, but if they win their district they could get at least 3 of the 4 playoff games at home.

Yes they do!!!

Nothing would make me any happier then to see Coach McKee and his team post gaudy numbers all season long and to line up opposite the Rocks (assuming Trinity advances that far) in BG. The fact that McKee is one of the most vocal supporters of a public private split won't be forgotten by the Rocks if it does happen.

Not to sound like a pessimist, but they will be battling for Second place with the rest of 6A.

Their offense can and will run inside, off tackle, outside or pass. They mix in healthy doses of misdirection, play action, bootleg and spread to confuse defenses, and they have the QB and horses to pull it off. Scott County averages 230 rushing yards/game, but that's spread across the FB, two RBs, QB, and 7 others off the bench. They pass often to the WR on any route in the playbook, or the ball could be headed to the TE or one of the RBs coming out of the backfield. SC's O-line is quick to engage and has been able to out leverage some large D-linemen.

 

Starting D has only allowed 1 TD in 5 games. Their D-line is very physical and gets in the backfield. The Linebackers and secondary get to the ball quickly, do a great job of containing, and have allowed only 70 yards/game in the air.

 

Kicking and special teams have been very effect, too. Not sure we've seen any weaknesses yet.

This stat is somewhat misleading as the 5 teams they have played have a combined record of 5-18.

Wow, these types of comments are a good way to get players injured. Words of hatred usually spark actions of hatred, and those actions will be directed at the high school boys, not their coaches. Please consider that in your posts.

Hatred? I think that's a 2 way street. I didn't read that in any of the posts. Different perspective I suppose. Perhaps you might consider it from the Private's angle. I don't think that it's anyone's intention to have a kid hurt, but there's also a line of mercy that may advance a bit farther out there in the event one of these teams faces the other.
