Very nice article in today's Enquirer on Carter. http://nky.cincinnati.com/article/AB/20110912/SPT0302/109130338/Highlands-athlete-gifted-off-field?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

very nice article. Sounds like a leader by his unspoken word.

A great kid from a great family!

My sons played soccer w/ Carter's cousin. Funny how much he looks like Carter. I agree, Coach Shields and his wife should be very proud of the family that they have raised, as exemplified in this article. Congrats to Carter.

No surprise here, Carter is just a pleasure to be around. A polite young man!

Nice article, the only thing I'm confused on is it stated that he lettered in 3 sports. According to what I read on here Dale only allows guys to concentrate on football. :idunno:  On a serious note a very talented young man.

WOW! I love well-rounded kids that realize there's a lot to do in life.

Consider me a fan.

He also sells spirit wear and cooks hamburgers at halftime..:ylsuper: Great job Carter keep it up..

Carter is the favorite player of a former Birds LB'er , that says he is impressed with Carters football skills. He is even looking for a #7 Highlands jersey to wear to the games. Wow !

Nice article on a focused young man.

My question is this. Freshman year New was the QB for the freshman team. Where was Towles? Did he play another position?

Charlie Barr had Towles playing safety when he was a freshman.

Carter has improved each year he's played defense. For those who haven't heard him play guitar and sing, he'll likely get a close look by CCM, which is a very prestigious conservatory of music. Well rounded and very respectful to adults. Kuddos to Carter.

Great kid getting his well deserved kudos. A leader that other kids can follow.

There are GREAT singers and musicians who do not get into the CCM.
