Sandbagger Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Not sure yet. I've been told Western is extremely quick. I saw they beat Lou. Male 18-3 Friday...I would think Western needs to score more than 18 to win in Ft. Thomas.
horst muhlmann Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I've heard they're a cross between Louisville Central and Lexington Bryan Station. Saw many of their linemen @ the HHS-Trinity scrimmage and they looked big. I'm thinking Cincy Withrow. HHS will need to tackle well.
Qryche11 Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Birds win this one by 3 TDs. HHS 42 Western 21
Alabama Larry Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Birds should win, if they don't give the ball away. Western has a D-1 safety, coaches son #12. Depth will hurt Western. Western is a nice team, but I have not seen the Blue Birds.
RockPride Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Western is very good this year, but Highlands is on a completely different level. Western is a great story.
gamehuntr Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Western's #7 carries the load as RB and LB. He will have to be wrapped up to go down. Birds may see some mismatches with size and strength, but Towles and company will score early and often. One game at a time.
MBKT Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 The Highlands offensive scheme will give the Western defense fits. Western will score, Highlnds will score more. HHS 42 Western 25
DragonFire Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Judging by the rankings, there's a good chance this is a preview of the state championship game.
Watusi Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Western is very good this year, but Highlands is on a completely different level. Western is a great story.Well put.
NamecipS Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Is Western the 4A West favorite to play in the title game?
DragonFire Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Is Western the 4A West favorite to play in the title game? They've been playing themselves into that role. Collins and maybe North Oldham are really the only two in their region I think might push them. In Region 1, you have Madisonville, Franklin-Simpson, and Owensboro now. Lone Oak was the favorite, but with the losses they suffered, it really might have paved the way for Western.
Walter Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Highlands in a big way. Their offense is simply too good to be stopped by anyone not named Trinity, right now. I'd be surprised if this one was within 3 td's.
