Preliminary report on Elliott's injured knee...

Featured Replies

Much better prognosis for that one.

Assuming he didn't tear any of the ligaments that hold the kneecap in place. Son had this injury and it's a tough one, too. Not an ACL injury by any means, but no walk in the park either.

Way less down time with that one. Can start rehab early, that sheath heals at same rate as MCL.

Knee injuries are the worst. Just thinking about dislocating a kneecap gives me the heebie jeebies.

Sounds like bad news.

On the webcast the announcer kept saying he wasn't playing because he had bronchitis. Not once did they say anything about a knee injury. Now just reading this I am shocked. Prayers to Elliott hope he recovers fast.

Like the Guru mentioned, we (the webcast announcers) were talking about why he missed school, due to the bronchitis. To see him take the field at all was very impressive but it was clear he wasn't up to par given the circumstances.

The injury for Elliott was so painful, Travis passed out on the field when it happened. He was completely gone.

Prayers for young Travis Elliott this evening. Tremendous competitor and plays the game like Charlie Hustle.

Hate to hear this for any kid.

Really hate to hear it for this kid, who by all accounts is an extremely hard worker and the cornerstone of the Ryle program the last couple years.

As others have said, hopefully it's not an ACL tear, and something less severe.

What's the latest on Travis Elliott?? I would hate 2 see him out for the season! He is amazing!!

Hoping for the best for one of the toughest players in Northern Kentucky.

I've said it over and over again, schools the size of Ryle need to figure out a way to not have guys playing both ways. A. they will never beat the top Louisville schools doing this. B. Well we now know what B is. Increased chance of injury due to fatigue, and just more snaps. I love watching Travis play, true gamer. I hope every thing works out for him.
