Preliminary report on Elliott's injured knee...

Featured Replies

That really sucks. Hopefully it's just a sprain and not really an ACL tear. What a blow for Ryle and Mr. Elliott, sad for any kid to have to miss their senior season because of an injury. We'll know more once he get's an MRI.

I hate to see any kid go down with something like that. Sorry to hear it.

Best of luck to the young man.

Skinner said Bryson termed the injury "significant."

On the webcast the announcer kept saying he wasn't playing because he had bronchitis. Not once did they say anything about a knee injury. Now just reading this I am shocked. Prayers to Elliott hope he recovers fast.

He's a very tough young man. If it's the case he will come back like no other I assure you.

The bronchitis was during the week.

I feel for anyone who has this happen to them.

Praying for a Speedy Recovery

No such thing. Every true injury to that ligament is a tear of some degree or there's no injury. I hope it's something else.

That's what I'm saying hopefully it's not his ACL.

Sad to see Elliot get injured. The play in which he got hurt was an absolutely outstanding play on his part. Elliot got blown up by two Colerain blockers and then turned around and chased down the Colerain fullback who had at the very least a 15 yard head start on him. Travis got to the runner but wasn't able to make the tackle because the Colerain back made a nice cut. Elliot lost his footing and twisted his leg/knee awkwardly. I could tell right away it was bad.

Also, Colerain RB Chris Davis (#5) had one of the sickest injuries I have ever seen in football. It looked to me that he dislocated his leg. I'll save you the gory details just let me say it happened right in front of me and my wife and we both along with others in my area had to look away. I honestly felt sick to my stomach and was afraid I was going to lose my dinner. It was gross and is now forever burnt into my memory.

The Colerain back dislocated his kneecap.

The Colerain back dislocated his kneecap.
Much better prognosis for that one.
