The offense will get better. They were never in sync all night. The D was pretty solid. They, too, will need to play better against the SEC.

Looked up Ryan's numbers from tonight on Northwest Mississippi CC site and it said his numbers were 20-37-1 for 443 yards with 5 TD's He also ran in two 1 yard TD's himself.

 

As bad as WKU is, I'm sure they're light years ahead of whoever NWMSCC played.

 

Not a 1:1 comparison, but Eloy Vargas had some pretty sweet JC stats too.

UK is just flat out not good..Newton is horrible!! The offensive line is supposed to be a strong suit? They were getting beat on a consistant basis..It is going to be a long year in Lexington...WOW!!! Joker needs to go be someone elses joke..Bad bad bad!!

I agree that the entire blame can't be laid at Newton's feet. The entire offense was indeed as bad as I've ever seen from UK football.

 

That said, I've never been a believer in Morgan Newton. I saw nothing the last two years to make me believe he'd be a good QB. Regardless, I hope I'm wrong and I hope last night was just a horrible performance and not what we can expect going forward.

Western should have led at least 10-7 going into the 4th. UK has athletes, but IMHO Joker is going to live up to his moniker.

U.K. has better athletes than WKU. When you start to look the SEC, UK has no athletes, nothing. WKU should had won that football game.

U.K. has done better recruiting? Where are they at? I saw some players that looked good in their uniform but then they had to play and removed that thought.

Did everybody see the numbers that Mossawhatever put up last night?

I'm not worried about Mossakowski since he's not a Wildcat anymore. Any guess as to what he may or may not have done at UK is just that.

That way they can celebrate the return of D-2 football in Bowling Green. I'm sure they cant wait for Eastern Illinois, SW Arkansas State, and Immatellin U. to play in Bowling Green again

 

Honestly, is the Sun Belt that much more appealing than those schools? I say no.

This is what I dislike about Kentucky some Kentucky fans. You base your decision off of one game (which I admit it wasn't that great of a game he played, but he had moments) but everybody did the same thing to Hartline, they even did it to Woodson when he began. Fans also was down on Lorenzen heck about the only qb I can remember fans didn't get down on right away was Couch. As for Mossakowski that is a jr college and the level of play isn't the same. As for the fair weather fans you can hit the road for all I care. How about just supporting Joker and the team.....

A famous saying by Alabama Larry...."Sometimes you have to give the other team some credit". WKU QB was one of the worse I've ever seen, but a very nice hard running back. But it seemed their defense was very good. Maybe they were fired up against the Cats, but I thought they were real physical. Its gonna be interesting to see how they pan out in the future. But that QB. :idunno:

 

Also Cats/Cards have small running backs.

Glad Miles Simpson is getting some playing time! I hope the heat was the biggest factor in the game. Once we get some football weather UK might start playing some good football!(fingers crossed)

And this is what I hate. Just because people are pointing out the obvious doesn't make them less of a fan. Newton sucks. He sucked two years ago, he sucked last year, he sucks now and he will suck next year. Joker hitched his wagon to a bad quarterback.
