September 3, 201115 yr Just give Newton time, right? We're in his Junior season now. Maybe we can still hear that this time next year. I'll say this, in Joker's offense QBs don't start to look polished until late in their JR seasons or during their SR years. Woodson, Hartline, maybe Newton. Maybe the offense is just too complicated for the talent base UK has I don't know. Its a good offense when run properly though.

I made my opinion clear about UK going with Joker as head coach before he took over the team. So I am not going to get back into that yet, we will see how this season goes. However you are right QB's since he has been here have done better in their Junior and Senior seasons. So hopefully that happens this for Newton, even though he got off to a terrible start for the year.

So hopefully that happens this for Newton, even though he got off to a terrible start for the year. Well naturally any QB is going to be better in their last two years, but I was just thinking about the huge difference in UK's recent QBs early in their careers compared to the end of them. Both of the last two ended up much better than what most originally thought. As far as QBs, where did the kid from Lone Oak wind up? Just sayin... Doing very well at Troy. Don't know how that equates to playing in a pro-style offense in the SEC though.
