Wildcats open the 2011 season in Nashville at LP Field against the Hilltoppers. I feel this is a game for UK to test their passing game and let some of the inexperienced receivers get their feet wet. I think the Wildcats win comfortably 42-10.

Though Wille Taggart may be leaning on his underclassmen again, they've still got Bobby Rainey, and Kawaun Jakes has a year under Taggart's offense. Coach is building something there and Western will not as much a cream puff as one might think. I'm not much on predictions, but I don't think UK will beat them by more than 3 touchdowns. If fact, I'd not be surprised if it WKU stayed within 14 points.

UK 27-10

I still am wondering why this game is being played in Tennessee, I realize that Nashville is just a very short drive from Bowling Green but two Kentucky schools (neither are ranked) playing in Nashville and if ticket sales are lower than expected then I believe that is the answer. JMO

^ It probably doesn't help that ESPN moved the game to 9 pm on a Thursday either. That network really hosed the whole state of Kentucky with that UofL-Murray at 6 pm on a workday with UK-WKU to follow at 9 pm on the night before a workday. What are they trying to do to us?

Don't know if it is true. I am hearing UK didn't want to play at WKU. They wanted to play somewhere so they could sell more tickets and try to make some money. So the decided on Nashville.

I agree. It doesn’t make sense to me either. I don’t think a lot of UT and Vandy fans are going to rush out to watch UK against WKU. It seems they would have sold more tickets if they played in Louisville or Cincy. That is if they were set against playing at WKU.
