What's the latest on ticket sales? Last I heard WKU was going to lose money unless some more tickets were sold.

Radio this morning said approximately 30,000 tickets sold right now.

May I ask what you do for a living and your age? I have you pegged in your early 30s.

Close. Late 20s... and I'm an attorney.

Guarantee they could have sold out LT Smith easily at a premium price. Hope they take a bath on this one so as to reinforce how stupid an idea it is for two teams from one state to play in a different state. If I'm the BG Chamber of Commerce, I'd be screaming bloody murder about the stupidity of this venture.

What if the number from tonight is what keeps them in D-1? Could this be a reoccurring theme for WKU to maintain their status?

If they have to resort to tricks such as that to keep D-IA status, maybe WKU shouldn't be D-IA.

Of course, they could have been smarter about it and held it at PJCS rather than gifting tens of thousands of tax revenue to that crummy state to the south of us. Bet they'd get a sellout there.

That would have been pretty awesome actually. Do you think they could have gotten permission to use it?

I don't think this is a trick, they are close to 15000 now. They are early in as a D1 school in a few more years I don't see attendance being a problem, but early on it certainly will be, so you have to do what you have to do to weather the early storm. Just like a new business you just hope to get through the first five years without going belly up.

Go Toppers! Turnover baby.

Newton not looking good early.

Newton sacked, 4th down.
