There will probably be a day like it in 2015, 2016, 2017, and so on. But just the one day per year. Also, it is not always the same month and day each year. It is not a birthday nor an anniversary. You can do better than answer that it is just the 3rd Wednesday in July. So, what is so special about today?

Well, since it is almost the next day, I will give the answer: The day after the All-Star is a terrible day for most sports fans. There is no live sporting event involving any of the major professional sports leagues of the MLB, NFL, NBA, or NHL. Every other day of the year (including the day before the All-Star with the Home Run Derby) has at least coverage of one of those sports.

July 22, 201412 yr There were no games on 7/17/14 either. Right you are! I guess this is the first year of a 4 day All-Star Break. Time to throw that trivia question into the trash. I have used it for years on friends.
