Good thing it's not versus an Indiana school then, huh?

 

Just because I live in Indiana doesn't mean I'm from Indiana . I was hog tied and thrown into the trunk of a car , the next thing I know I'm living in Indiana , and not Ft. Thomas . The only thing I remember about that day is there were four of them , and I think they were brothers and one of them was called coo coo bird that went to all the Highlands practices. Still can't figure it out !

Anyone who isn't rooting for Trinity to win this week isn't a fan of KY high school football.

 

I'm all for supporting txhe home boys, but as long as public and private are classed together a faction of public school fans will root against the big private schools. They will still love the state but the debate burns them deep, as can be seen on here from time to time. Granted this game involves two private schools, but a faction against KY private schools is a vocal minority.

A blue icee at a racetrack in Ohio where our neighbor runs sprint cars. He has alot of his mother in him, what can I say?

Bottom line is that those boys are from KY. And they deserve our support. Again, I hope that they trounce the Tenn school.

Yeah, but Ohio has a point. How many times has Mayfield, you guys, and other border schools beaten the bejeezus out of ranked schools down there? We can't say the same thing about ranked teams up here.

 

Mayfield’s win over Trousdale County a couple of years ago and their scrimmage results this year against Milan certainly give credibility, not that they need any, to Mayfield’s team. However, the status of an entire state’s football I think is judged more by large school results than the smaller class schools. To quiet the Tennessee crowd it will take wins over teams like Maryville, Brentwood Academy, MUS, Ensworth, Riverdale, etc… Trinity should do just that this Friday and I too am rooting for them even though I’m a resident of Tennessee :isurrender:, born and raised in Ohio , but cheer for Kentucky High School football.

There will be a game the second week involving Paducah Tilghman and Evensville Reitz which i believe have won several state titles in Indiana. Its the bowl series in Louisville which i believe X will be playing a Tenn. team. Goodpasture or Riverdale i believe. Also on the slate is Byrnes SC. should be a good day of football at Papa Johns stadium.:banana:

No question about it, West TN is very respectful of Mayfield and they treat us and talk about us with high reguard but it will take one of our big boys hammering on one of their big boys to ever garner the type respect we seek as a whole and T is in the perfect position to administer a heavy dose to NBA

I am of the opinion that outside of FL, TX, CA, OH and maybe PA and GA there isn't a whole lot of difference. I think KY is always rated too low and I think our upper teams can hang with any other state except for the ones listed. This includes TN. Good luck Rocks, make the state proud.
