September 17, 201115 yr I haven't bought a gun in a while, but have a rather large collection. My biggest disappointment was the ruger p85. Had to wait forever for it to arrive and it is the worst shooting weapon I own. I have a 38 Taurus ultra lite that is the perfect conceal weapon. When I head to the farm I never carry the same handgun two times in a row. Change is good.

December 8, 201114 yr Love the 1911. Does yours have the wood or pearl trim grip? Or is it all black? I liked the trimmed grips, typical 1911 style but man the all black ones with chrome hammer and chrome trigger, etc. are sweet. Wood grips. Actually I have two 1911s and both have wood grips. One has a blue finish; the other parkerized. Recently picked up a P38 Walther but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Maybe one of these weekends.

I keep toying with the idea of getting a 1911, and if I do, you can bet that's what mine will be.

December 21, 201114 yr Buy bulk online. I've seen 5.56X45 Lake City (mil surplus) for 300 per 1000 rounds. .45 ACP is kinda pricey, but 9mm is not bad.
