Monday Night Football -- Horrible Schedule

Featured Replies

I was just glancing at this year's Monday Night Football schedule. Which games are you most looking forward to? I liked the non-divisional games from last year better, personally.

Week 1) New England vs. Miami - Oakland vs. Denver

Week 2) St. Louis vs. NY Giants

Week 3) Washington vs. Dallas

Week 4) Indianapolis vs. Tampa Bay

Week 5) Chicago vs. Detroit

Week 6) Miami vs. NY Jets

Week 7) Baltimore vs. Jacksonville

Week 8) San Diego vs. KC Chiefs

Week 9) Chicago vs. Philadelphia

Week 10) Minnesota vs. Green Bay

Week 11) Kansas City vs. New England

Week 12) NY Giants vs. New Orleans

Week 13) San Diego vs. Jacksonville

Week 14) St. Louis vs. Seattle

Week 15) Pittsburgh vs. San Francisco

Week 16) Atlanta vs. New Orleans

I'd have to say weeks I most look forward to are 4, 8, 9, 10, 16. Besides those, the games just seem so-so.

What say you?

MNF used to showcase the best game of the week. But when NBC entered the primetime forray, they were able to secure first pick for that week's schedule

You tell me which one is better

1.) Cowboys at Jets

2.) Eagles at Falcons

3.) Steelers at Colts

4.) Jets at Ravens

5.) Packers at Falcons

6.) Vikings at Bears

7.) Colts at Saints

8.) Cowboys at Eagles

9.) Ravens at Steelers

10.) Patriots at Jets

11.) Eagles at Giants

12.) Steelers at Chiefs

13.) Colts at Patriots

14.) Giants at Cowboys

15.) Ravens at Chargers

16.) Bears at Packers

A lot of the games on that schedule don't do much for me...here's to having some fantasy players in the mix hopefully lol.

As long as a lot of fantasy football games come down to players playing on MNF and gambling, MNF will have a huge viewing audience.

It sure bets the MLB way of doing things. Red Sox and Yanks every single prime time game.

Amen. :D

I don't care if its the Niners and Bills, if I have key fantasy players playing then more than likely I'm watching.

The NFL won't admit it, but gambling and fantasy football makes people watch games they normally would not watch. No matter what the NFL does, it gets ratings.

Looks like I'm going to get to bed earlier on Monday's this year.

What happened to flex scheduling? I thought primetime games for the later weeks in the season were not decided until the season starts to play out so they could pick the best matchups.

Flex scheduling is still in place. But MNF has never had flex scheduling.

I'm pumped for week 14. :D

I think the NFL would admit that. Considering they offer fantasy football on NFL.com and talk spreads all the time.

Completely agree.

By the time I watch high school, college , and then NFL on Sunday and Sunday night I'm usually not interested in MNF unless it's a barnburner.

Agree that this is a terrible schedule for the supposed "flagship game of the week"?? A couple of those late season games have the potential of being yawners.
