Your Top 5 by Class now that the season is over?

Well, I'll put a team that is able to make the adjustments necessary to beat X above them in the end. I'm sorry, but X looked baffled at times, and I think that although X beat them soundly the first time, the hallmark of this year for Trinity is what they BECAME, and the best TEAM won Friday night. To judge a team's greatness by the results of games at the beginning of the season is not an accurate barometer.

Besides, I'm sure the Rocks will apreciate the locker room material next August- I won't be the last person to say that they thought X was the better team.

You won't. I guess we should thank you for making it your personal mission to provide locker room material.

I'm not. I'm judging by the entire body of work. I saw X seven times this season, I saw Trinity four, and I think that X was the better team.

 OH, boo-hoo. Last I checked, you had quite a celebratory time this weekend. Don't act like I'm raining on your parade.

If you only saw Trinity 3 times you saw them 1. against Manual, 2, Against X, both early season games, and 3 against Henry Clay, where we apparently didn't meet your expectations, not sure what the 4th was. I don't think you ARE judging their entire body of work. I also think you have a distinct district bias..not that there's anything wrong with that.

Can you provide some specific reasons why X was the better team Friday night?

I guess we can hang your quote right next to the trophy.

You aren't raining on my parade at all. I actually find it amusing that you'd be so committed to helping the Trinity Rocks, considering your lack of regard for our program.

A little note...the quote under my avatar sums up what I believe to be a truth...and the Rocks definitely achieved greatly this year, after daring to fail!

What are you talking about? I LOVE Trinity's players, I think they're fantastic, and I find most of their fans to wear their dominance with a lot of grace.

Think hard about the 4th game, Momma.

I assume it's the championship game, but I thought you meant before the championship.

And, I'm still waiting for the specific reasons X was the better team Friday night...

1. Trinity

2. St. X

3. HC

4. John Hardin

I'll take 2nd through last in any poll so long as "We are the Champions".

Trinity Forever!!!

Going for a GT impression? You're too tall...

The pat answer would be to say that Trinity was the better team Friday night, for the only time all year.

But my real answer is that if Petrino goes out with a pretty severe injury, instead of Curley, in my opinion we're talking about X's chances for a threepeat. I think that had they BOTH gone down, it's the same scenario. X had the better team, but had a lousy night.

You might recall that I DEFENDED the Rocks after they laid their egg at the Pizza Box, and reminded people that Trinity was a good team that just had nothing go their way.

1. T

2. X

3. HC vs JH vs LexCath
