What does anyone know about what Ryle has coming back, other than Elliott? Sure, at first glance most would say blowout. But what if Ryle can put a better team on the field than their '10 team. Does that change anything??

 

Not for me, unless the new QB is given more freedom than last year's stud. Colerain will be bigger and more athletic on the line than Ryle. Ryle will not be able to consistently run the ball on Colerain. We all know what happens if Ryle can't run the ball. Another thing that is being missed here is that Mr. Versatility is gone. Ryle not only has to replace their QB, they have to replace Mullins. He was the one offensive player that you had to find every down. You know where Elliot is, but Mullins brought some mismatches. He will be hard to replace.

I agree about Mullins. His lead blocking was absolutely critical to their running success. Throw in his running ability and you have 2 big dimensions that need to be replaced.

 

I haven't heard if Mullins is playing in college, I thought for sure he would have caught on somewhere.

Ryle lost a ton from last years team. The 2010 Ryle Raiders were the best in their schools history. I don't believe they will be nearly as good. The frosh and jv last year were horrible. Colerain will name the score on this years version of the Raiders..

I don't see it that way hbf. This game is a huge gamble by Coach Warner. If the Raiders keep it close then it is a huge success and I am sure they are using this game for motivation. However, if the Raiders get thumped I think the game is a net negative.

I know Highlands has played Colerain close in the past , but if you ask the players and the coaches ( or fans ) , I'm sure that they would say the losses were not a huge success . I don't know if Ryle has a different definition for "success " than Highlands does , but I just can't see a loss to any team being a success. I would like to see Ryle beat Colerain , but Colerain is tough to beat on their home field.

I just think it is way too early to determine the amount of talent a team will have, until the product is put on the field. I am in no way predicting an upset over Colerain, but there is still a ton of talent in Union and i suppose those in Independence and "raderbird" land are unaware of it. Colerain will be incredibly tough to compete with but Ryle is accepting the challenge.

Talent is their but Coaching is not. To much running the ball and not enough passing. Even SK ran the ball to much last year.

Depends on willingness to work extensively on passing game cause the Cards will surely out athlete Ryle.

Sure Elliott will be a stud but Colerain is a different animal. Hempel was a huge part of the Raider offense along with Mullins and some good OLinemen.

Ryle will probably get beat worse than SK did by Middletown!

Here is what I know about Colerain they have at least 4 D1 recruits that are Seniors. They have 2 Junior running backs that are very good.

 

 

LB Sr. Jake Blust 6'0 220 recruited by UK, Miami(Oh) and UC

DB Sr. Andre Jones 6'1 185 going to UC runs a 4.47 40 yard dash

LB Sr. Joe Bolden 6'2 225 committed to Michigan had 18 D1 offers

DT Sr. Trae Clark 6'4 320 has 9 D1 offers

RB Jr. Chris Davis 5'10 170 all purpose back

RB Jr. Alfred Ramsby 5'10 188 ran for over 400 yards 5 touchdowns and runs a 4.5 40 yard dash

I don't know if Colerain would beat Trinity this year or not; either way, it would be a great game. Wasn't Trinity really young last year? Either way, I'll stop, this could become another thread.
