Wood is looking pitiful again. He'll be lucky to even make it to the 5th at this rate.

That would be consistent with his pattern of a good outing followed by a bad one.

He is batting, but now with a 5 run lead.

Glad the bullpen is rested. He has a 5 run lead and still can't throw strikes.

Wood is making it very clear that when Bailey comes back from the DL, he has no business being on the big league roster.

Wow. What a catch by Gomes...

I heard the radio guys say "great catch by Gomes" and I was wondering if I was day dreaming?

He should definitely be the odd man out. He is really struggling with his command the last few outings.

Yep. That Renteria guy sure is a better option than Cozart. 8 errors. That's an average season for a SS, not the first 70 games of one for a part time player.

Wood is going to be lucky to get the W in this one. He is at 83 pitches already in the 4th. If he starts messing it up in the 5th they may have to pull him due to pitch count, let alone performance.

OK, he managed to get out of the 4th at 87 pitches. He is probably done after 5 innings regardless of what happens.

Heisey is 0-4 w/ 3 K's, maybe it is the lead off spot in the lineup?

Got thru that inning in under 10 pitches.
