June 13, 201115 yr How can you get any kind of winning streak going when your offense has looked like this the last 10 games? Oh and by the way they have hit a total of 6 HRs in the last 10 games. Stubbs .293 2 HRs 6 RBIs 16 Ks Phillips .239 0 HRs 6 RBIs 7 Ks Votto .324 1 HR 7 RBIs 14 Ks Bruce .286 0 HRs 2 RBIs 9 Ks Rolen .143 0 HRs 4 RBIs 4 Ks Gomes .316 1 HR 7 RBIs 9 Ks Hernandez .206 1 HR 3 RBIs 4 Ks Renteria .200 0 HRs 1 RBI 5 Ks Janish .242 0 HRs 2 RBIs 5 Ks Hanigan .310 0 HRs 2 RBIs 5 Ks Lewis .167 0 HRs 1 RBI 5 Ks Heisey .267 0 HRs 4 RBIs 7 Ks Cairo .174 1 HR 4 RBIs 2 Ks
June 13, 201115 yr Author I will take 2-2 in San Fran to start the trip. I would have taken that if you asked me at the beginning of the series as well. The Reds let too many opportunities, and too many free passes get in the way of a 4-0 start to the trip.
June 13, 201115 yr Blue Magic no where to be found. :idunno: I'm ten minutes too late. They didn't play too poorly this weekend, though.
June 13, 201115 yr Author I'm ten minutes too late. And you want to be my thread starter? Come on Biff.
June 13, 201115 yr I'm happy with 2-2 on the road against the Giants; getting a series back from the Dodgers is important, which is highly feasible if they play mostly the way they did this series.
June 13, 201115 yr I think I need to be in consideration for starting another Reds thread. They didn't play to bad this week with me starting it, they had a winning record even with playing 4 games on the West Coast.
June 13, 201115 yr I can't believe that you guys can sit here and say that you are happy with going 2-2 against Frisco. This is a .500 team and they could have easily won all 4 games in that series with the pitching that they got from their starters. Right now their offense is so inconsistent that if they continue this against good offensive teams which they face the next few weeks in interleague play, (something that the Reds have not done well with in the past), they could easily be 10 games out by the time interleague play ends. Come back and say that you are happy with a 2-2 series then. The Cards and the Brewers are playing too well right now to be losing ground that they may never be able to make up. The only break they got this weekend was that the Cards and Brewers faced each other and the Brew Crew swept them. I don't see this Milwaukee team slowing down with the pitching staff they have. They are really starting to click on all cylinders and I think they are right where everybody thought they would be, in first place.

June 13, 201115 yr 4 games in San Fran, 4 very quality starts. 2-2 record. That makes the starting pitchers 13 of the past 16 games with quality starts. Yep, starting pitching is definitely this team's issue.

But EZ our offense is near the top in every statistical category??? Hopefully people begin to open their eyes to the real weakness of this team, offense..
June 13, 201115 yr But EZ our offense is near the top in every statistical category??? Hopefully people begin to open their eyes to the real weakness of this team, offense.. They desperately need to improve at either LF, SS, or both. They get almost zero production out of both (with little more coming from 3B).
