May 30, 201115 yr I think the Reds are done only because they have buried themselves with this road trip and failed to take advantage of a schedule in which they should have made hay. Now the schedule doesn't let up and they are back at .500 and the starting pitching hurting.
May 30, 201115 yr If the Reds at done it's because they're starting pitching isn't healthy and hasn't been healthy all year. I'd love to see them play two months in a row with at least 5 of their 6 best starters getting every start. I'd also like to think they can get help at short or left by trade. The thing is you would think Votto starts hitting the ball out of the park more it's just a matter of what Stubbs and Bruce give you.
May 30, 201115 yr This a huge home stand and I'd like to think the Reds will be able to do some damage on it...I think they finish the Home stand no worse than 7-2, the fans need to come out and get behind them...I'm looking at tickets right now for tonight and tomorrow...Let's hope the Reds can get hot as the calendar flips to June...

Now the schedule doesn't let up and they are back at .500 and the starting pitching hurting. There has never been a competent baseball team that was done at the end of May. If the reds were 12 games out right now they wouldn't be done. Not when many, many teams have made up 5 games in the standings in one week. SSC is right. All they need is the starters to get and stay healthy and they can go on a nice run.

May 30, 201115 yr It's pretty simple... If the Reds Starting Pitching figures it out, they'll win the division. If they continue to pitch like they have been they'll be lucky to finish 3rd.
