May 31, 201115 yr I really don't know about Wood. ERA over 5 and more hits allowed than innings pitched. I know he is our only lefty but when everyone gets healthy, he is our 5th best starter at best. He and Leake are a lot alike. I think he would benefit from a tight slider, he seems to throw more of a looping curve...He is very young and will be good but with everyone healthy I think I would take Leake over him...
May 31, 201115 yr I'll say it again. The Reds will lose to Grienke and Marcum. The Brewers will feast on Reds pitching the next two nights. They may just come back and win this one. Grienke is one of the most overrated pitchers in MLB, IMO. And the Reds have already roughed up Marcum once this year...
May 31, 201115 yr Author Grienke is one of the most overrated pitchers in MLB, IMO. And the Reds have already roughed up Marcum once this year... And the Reds are throwing a pitcher just up from AAA who has struggled in his previous ML outings and the shoplifter. The Brewers will win.
May 31, 201115 yr Author For the record Marcum beat himself with 5 BB the first time he lost to the Reds. That won't happen again.
May 31, 201115 yr And the Reds are throwing a pitcher just up from AAA who has struggled in his previous ML outings and the shoplifter. The Brewers will win. Avatar bet that the Brewers won't win both games?
May 31, 201115 yr Thom and Chris are ignorant. I was just about to ask everyone what they thought about Thom. It seems like every game he makes some very strong comment that is just not right. One game last week he was commenting about how the hitter that was up could walk to first base if he bunted down the first base line. And the first baseman was holding on a runner at the time. Huh?
May 31, 201115 yr And the Reds are throwing a pitcher just up from AAA who has struggled in his previous ML outings and the shoplifter. The Brewers will win. I can't wait till the Reds put these guys in their place at the bottom of the NL West...
May 31, 201115 yr Author Week? 2 Weeks? I'll let you decide between the two. How about end of homestand for the Reds.
May 31, 201115 yr Author I can't wait till the Reds put these guys in their place at the bottom of the NL West... The Dodgers will sweep the Reds when they throw Kuroda, Kershaw and Billingsley. Better luck next time.
