May 31, 201115 yr I think Welsh is ok. He makes some good comments on occasion and usually doesn't make any stupid comments, although the talk about Gomes defense last night was a little over the edge. Welsh doesn't bother me and neither does the Cowboy. But Thom has been getting on my nerves this year. Trying to follow in pop's shoes by speaking his mind but what is coming out of his mind just ain't right. I haven't listened to the TV guys as often this year, but Thom rambling on in praise of Jim Tressell yesterday was nauseating. I'm a fan of Thom though. I have no complaints with the Cowboy, Welsh, or, of course, Marty. Keels can be excessively dry. He's like an inverse George Grande.
May 31, 201115 yr At this point I would have left Bruce where he was. Unless you think he's eventually going to cool off and be stuck in the four hole, I don't see a problem.
May 31, 201115 yr Unless you think he's eventually going to cool off and be stuck in the four hole, I don't see a problem. Just while he is on this tear I would leave him be but I have no problem with him being ahead of Rolen.
May 31, 201115 yr Just while he is on this tear I would leave him be but I have no problem with him being ahead of Rolen. Yeah I know what you mean. I just think he's swinging the bat so well right now, even with pitchers respecting him, that his spot in the order isn't going to effect it too much. I think if a guy like Janish starting hitting well at the bottom of the order, moving him up would probably change the way pitchers go after him and his success wouldn't carry over. Obviously, Dusty thinks Janish is a two hitter anyway, so I guess that's moot.
May 31, 201115 yr ^BP is leading at 2B, Votto is 2nd at 1B, Ramon and Rolen are both 5th, and Stubbs is 13th.

May 31, 201115 yr Bruce has been named Player of the Month. Correction. He was named Player of the Week.
