May 31, 201115 yr There has never been a competent baseball team that was done at the end of May. If the reds were 12 games out right now they wouldn't be done. Not when many, many teams have made up 5 games in the standings in one week. SSC is right. All they need is the starters to get and stay healthy and they can go on a nice run. Well said. :thumb:

May 31, 201115 yr If Jay Bruce doesn't win the NL Player of the Month, the award is completely meaningless. No one is even close to being on his level this month. I'm hoping for a couple more RBI's to set him apart. I think the team record for RBI in a month is 34, so he's only 2 shy.
May 31, 201115 yr PS what is the prediction for the rookie starter tonight? I'm going with 5 innings 3 runs. Not great, but enough to keep them in the game. I think they hit Greinke much better this time around than last year when he was in KC.

Was at the game last night. Got there early enough to see Brewers BP. We had seats 3 rows back in RF. Greinke was one of the Brew Crew in RF during BP. Every time he would get a ball, he'd turn to the stands, and fake throwing it to the fans then turn around and chuck it in to the ball guy. Almost every other player that got a ball near the wall was throwing them up to the fans and joking around with people. Just unnecessary IMO.
