Im excited to see Thompson pitch but not at the expense of Bailey...But its nice to see him in a Reds Uni since he was already with them at 23 and had a promising future...We might need him this year with the way the staff is looking, but also to see if he can create some trade value for himself since when our staff is healthy he is blocked from being a starter with the Reds...

Reds pitching staff has all of a sudden became paper thin. Injuries are really starting to pile up.

Exactly why they couldn't afford to make stupid trades involving the young pitching. You never have enough good young pitching if you don't have deep pockets to go out and get experienced pitchers.

27 pitches in one inning is a lot to start off with, let's hope he can be more pitch effective next innning.
