Brilliant move, walk weak hitting Sardinha to pitch to Lee who is probably a better hitter.

Underhand em up there.

Too much reasearch to see who pitched when and how many pitches. Dusty's got that right in front of him.

Yes he does and I am sure he is making decisions based on the best info available. I think this is one of those games where Dusty and the Reds are just stuck by circumstances.

Since they already gave up, can they just say screw it and head to the airport and try to catch an earlier flight to Atlanta? What's the point of playing the full 9 innings if you aren't going to try after 6?

He's today's lamb that's obvious. Dusty gave this game up back in the 6th and he can care less about the final score of this game now.

I think when this is all over, Dusty's biggest regret today on the decision making side is making Arredondo warm up.

How about not trying to win?

The saddest part is, he's going to sing Thompson's praises after tha game, about how he showed a lot of guts out there, blah, blah, blah.

Hopefully Thompson has a better head on his shoulders than say an EV...Im sure he was nervous and he may have talent but he had a bad day today and Dusty didn't try to bail him out, his confidence just took a huge hit...I know he and nobody else expected him to get the call from aa and get thrown into a gm where Bailey was going fine...And to top it off Dusty let's him hit instead of atleast getting him out of there then and trying to win the game...

Wonder what Price said to Thompson? "There's a front coming, try to hang in there 'til then'.

So my big question is, if you knew LeCure wasn't available today, why in god's name did you only bring one pitcher up? Why not bring up Thompson and someone else (Smith), and send Fish back down and put Maloney on the DL?

Howard has the largest nostrils in the world. Just sayin'.

Votto:

First Pitch: (113-275) .411 avg.

Two Strikes: (197-890) .221 avg.

Where do you find those stats?

In their defense there probably wasn't enough time with it being a day game. Night game maybe but too little time I guess.

And its a great question?
