Back to Ryle 2011, we know they may have the best RB in the state but what else do they have to go with him this year?

From what I've heard the kid coming into play qb is solid so that can relieve some of the pressure from Elliott.

 

I can't imagine Ryle can't find good linemen out of that huge student body.

 

They are to the point now where graduation can't be an excuse anymore.

There defense has been very good the last two years. I know that much of that can be attributed to Coach Wolfe, but I think this past year's senior class was a very good one. I am sure they will be a top caliber team in NKY again, but I am not so sure they can just "replace" many of the graduating seniors. I think the offense will miss Mullins more than they realize as well.

The age old question again comes up. Will Ryle be able to effectively use their QB to take men out of the box? As good as Hempel was, the passing game still wasn't as effective as I feel it could have been.

Conner Hempel was a very good runner and much bigger than the incoming QB. Will be interesting to see how this all works out for Ryle. A three year starter who was a tremendous cerebral QB as well as a physical one will not be easy to replace.

Ryle certainly has the top 6A program in NKY right now and I think it would be hard to argue against them for 2011.

IMO, I think Ryle had a very good run due to some very good athletes in the class of 2011. I guess time will tell, but their freshman and JV teams were not very good this past season and I am interested to see if they can sustain the level of play they experienced the past couple of seasons. Great programs "reload" every season with outstanding players waiting in the wings to take over, but I am not seeing that talent level at Ryle over the next few years. I could very well be wrong, but Varsity players have to come from some where, right? If they go on to the state quarters or semis, I will gladly eat my crow.

Dixie will be in 6A this year and has a lot returning at the skill player positions. I wouldn't rank them above Ryle but some fans might put them in contention.

No need to eat crow, no matter what the result. This year's Freshman team had seven 8th graders that started and the JV team had quite a few Freshman playing on Saturdays. When the upcoming Juniors were Freshman, they were undefeated in the regular season. You can't always tell by the Frosh and JV squads, but there is some pretty solid talent moving through the program right now. Along with this year's Seniors, their leadership and a good Junior class, Ryle should be a very solid team this year.
