Way to go Baby Birds!!! Congrats to these 3 young hatchlings...:ylsuper::ylsuper:

What would you expect considering the coach is from Fort Thomas.

What a neat opportunity! Congrats

Well, it looks like Highlands wins again. What an opportunity and experience for these kids. To get this once in a lifetime chance to participate in such a worldwide event is mind boggling to say the least. This type of exposure just keeps bringing positive attention to Highlands H.S. and NKY and we should be proud of them and not take shots at the circumstances that some have suggested, it really doesnt matter who the coach is and lets remember these are 14 yr old boys. Great job boys.......

What a opportunity, now go show them how they play football in FT, Thomas.

Congrats to all these young men, what an honor ! It Could be the most prestigious honor in any sport for kids this age. Well done guys and don't forget to tell them where your from and the football tradition at Highlands (if they haven't heard about Highlands already !) I'm probably going to pay for that statement , I wonder if haters have speed dial on their computers , if they do we might have problems with circuit overload . Again , big congrats from Indiana !!!!!!!!!!

Under KHSAA rules are they allowed to play vs. outside competition during this period? Once you are promoted from 8th grade you fall under KHSAA rules.

When looking at the limitations of season by-law it seems it is not allowed. http://www.khsaa.org/handbook/bylaws/bylaw25.pdf

I am asking because I also coach a youth team and think that it is a great opportunity for kids but is it permitted.

Help!

Since you are so concerned, why dont you contact the KHSAA and let us all know. LOL. Thanks again for your concern.........and when you contact them I am sure they will put you in line with the rest of the Highlands haters.
