His words were...'I knew I needed to bring my A game if we were going to have a chance to win.' Has Gilbert tweeted anything yet? I'll never forget how detached he looked last year vs Boston. I took it the same way. Also took it to mean he thought everyone else on Cleveland were awful.
May 4, 201115 yr What did he say? May not be the exact words but summarized it went like this..... 'It is great to have options here in Miami. I didn't have those options last year and I knew I had to bring my A game for us to win because I didn't get any help from anyone.'. May not be verbatim but that is kind of close and I took it as a another shot at Cleveland as well as his effort he put out last year I don't see how anyone can spin this otherwise.

He didn't have to take it there and create another bad PR move for himself. He's a journalist's dream.
May 4, 201115 yr Don't see anything wrong with Bron's comments, I mean hes right. Best players he had last year was an aging Jamison, Mo Williams, Varejo and Delonte West. Williams isn't even considered a star on a Clippers team that won around 20 games, Varejo is average at best, and Delonte is nothing more than a role player off the bench for the Celtics. Lebron was always surrounded by average at best talent in Cleveland and almost everything that team accomplished was accomplished through Lebron.

Just because he is right doesn't mean he has to say it. I think it is clear he obviously doesn't care too much about his image and that is his choice. I still like him and hope for a Heat sweep but he could have chosen a different route to express himself and that always seems to be his problem.

The team doesn't just cosider the Lakers beating them in game 7 when they talk that way. They also consider the year KG was out with an injury the year they were defending their title.

I too would like to hear the interview before passing too much judgment. LBJ has not exactly shown the best PR skills the past 2 years so nothing would shock me.

For sure he said I didn't play well in game 1 and D Wade did and we got a win. I found a partial transcript it does say bring my A game. It blows my mind that Kobe supporters rip LBJ when Kobe hammers teammates and demanded a trade out of LA unless they could get him star power help. The Lakers record when Kobe takes 15 shots or less compared to when he takes 25 shots or more is unbelievable yet still Kobe fans pound LBJ for being a willing passer.

That is obvious after he talks about not playing well in Game 1 but having D Wade play well to help get the win.

I wish all athletes and coaches would speak truthfully in their interviews. I'd love to hear it instead of toeing the line and trying not to hurt somebody's feelings.
