I don't think he deserved to be tossed but Pierce was in the middle of everything yesterday it seemed and eventually running his mouth cost him and his team.

I don't even consider that situation because to me Pierce had sealed his fate long before that with every other scuffle he had been into before that. Seemed like he was going after James Jones every other trip up the floor. Usually Pierce is pretty cool and performs in the clutch but game was too big for him yesterday, he lost his cool big time. May 2, 201115 yr I can't stand him. I hope the Heat sweep them. I called for Heat in six, but even though I actually kind of like the Celtics I wouldn't mind to see a sweep at all. It would blow Miami's confidence up to a point in which I don't think anyone would be able to touch them for the rest of the playoffs. Miami this season has been the kind of team that can be as good as they want to be. Usually they play without any kind of flow or urgency on offense and rely on their defense to win games. The games they have actually got after it for almost the entire 48 minutes they have looked almost untouchable but that rarely happens. If they could somehow sweep the C's and play like yesterday but perhaps better then the skys the limit for that team going forward. Being confident in each other and playing with consistency has been this teams Achilles Heel all season but a commanding series win over Boston would fix those problems in a hurry.

I have never saw it happen and I have saw him get into some dandies with Kobe, Artest, and even Lebron and the Cavs before. Absolute BS, but thats basketball, your cant play with a 8 on 5 mentality, you have to just overlook the bad calls and keep playing. Boston didn't do that, they let their frustrations build and it was all downhill from there. Very un Celtic like, I hadn't saw them lose it like that one single time in the past three years.

Jones isn't going to come off the bench and give them 25 again so I think the Celtics will be OK.

IMO I would classify that as the game being too big for him even though hes been clutch in Finals games, Conference Finals games, etc. To me its like of anybody, Pierce knows you cannot do some of the things he done yesterday and to me it was just like he wasn't in it with the same mentality as what he normally is. He didn't let cooler heads prevail and to me thats the game and the moment getting too big because it caused him to lose control. Not saying in a sense that he wouldn't have hit a big shot or wouldn't have not been able to handle the pressure of it all but in a sense he lost control I felt the game was just too big for him yesterday.

That swat he had on Bosh had to crush his pride and his dignity. Just totally showed him what was up, I kind of hated to see it.
