Yes, start mixing them in. Some have been saying this all year long. For those who disagree, in the pre season of the NFL (when we had an NFL) why do the starters only play a quarter or two? And a lot do not even play the last pre season game, why do teams who area already in the play offs rest some of their starters the last game as if they dont care if they win or not? There is a VERY good reason! Everyone does this, everyone but Cal.

Bama was NOT going to come back! It's like Cal just wants to prove he can beat others with just 6 players.

You cannot compare college basketball to NFL preseason.

Same reasoning, you do not want to get your starts injured anytime, but when the game is in hand there is no need to take chances. Hopefully all turns out well.

The biggest complainers of Cal on here are complaining no matter what he does. That's not going to change even if they somehow won the NCAA tournament.

Cal is a great coach and will win a Championship, no doubt in my mind. UK was tremendous today coming out of their time outs. That is all on Cal. Hindsight is always 20/20 and it's easy for us to sit here and second guess. Not gonna do it. Go get a championship tomorrow boys.

Wouldn't you say it's precisely because of how poorly they've performed that we want so badly to protect the front line players? I'd rather take my chances with them in and a 16 point lead with 1:16 left than them have to play significant minutes when the game is really in doubt.

There's many different philosophies, and none of them are probably exactly right. I just think when Liggins went down, it should have put a greater scare than it did. But like I said earlier, whatever your viewpoint, hopefully he's OK by the main tournament and we can just forget about it.

You make some good points.

I'm glad you guys are all psychic. Bama WAS coming back. Even with the starters in.

Sure, you'd love to take them out, but come on. When have you ever seen two players go down like that? NEVER. Saying Cal should have predicted it is ludicrous.

I remember a coach pointing out to me that a player can get hurt on any play. This is true, and that is an acceptable risk. It is not an acceptable risk to put someone you need at risk for injury in a situation where the game is in hand or you can't appreciably change the outcome at that point. If Lamb is not ready tomorrow, it could be the difference between a 4 and a 3 seed, which I feel is significant. If he's not ready for the NCAA Tournament, it's a death blow to their chances of making any kind of real impact. All because he couldn't be bothered to take him out with a 16 point lead and 1:16 left in the game.

I'm with you on this one. Cal has repeatedly unsold the significance of winning the conference tournament but I'd much rather be playing on the #2 side of the bracket.

Bama had scored 11 points in the previous two minutes. This included 3 three pointers, which they never hit at that clip. Why is it you guys believe they were capable of accelerating that to 16 points in just more than a minute? It cracks me up that anyone believes they were going to score as much in just over 3 minutes as they had in the previous 21.

It's not that we're psychic, it's that when Liggins went down, most people I would've thought would think "Get them all out". As in as many as you can. If you take them out and Bama hits even two straight three pointers, send them back in if need be.

Poor dumb Cal...
