I ask one thing and I've never wanted it so much as a Bengals fan. No Cam Newton. I don't think they should draft a qb or Green in the 1st, but please please please not Cam Newton

I think the Bengals franchise is on the precipice of a total collapse if they can't put together a playoff team in the next two years. The fans are done. Season ticket sales are going to be at a low point since moving into the new stadium. The only sellout will probably be Pittsburgh. If they don't put a winner on the field and stop the bleeding in ticket sales and fan support, I honestly could see the Bengals looking for a new city. That is what I am referring to when I talk about the future of the franchise.

In today's financial environment, I wonder which city would be open to taking on the huge cost of bringing in an NFL franchise? I don't think there will be many if any options in that regard for Mike Brown.

Peter King says the Bengals will draft Newton.

Hopefully Carolina or Buffalo bite first

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard/read something about Los Angeles wanting, not one, but two NFL teams (like New York). Seem to remember that they had already started building a stadium, even though they don't even have a team yet. I think that's where everybody assumed the Vikings would go if they don't get a new stadium deal in Minnesota. So, IMO it's possible they (LA) could get an NFC team (Vikes) and an AFC team (Bengals) if things are pushed that far.

Why would you think that LA would want to have a Mike Brown run team in their city and Mike Brown is not selling a moneymaker business.

Certainly makes sense since Mike Brown runs the show, and I'm sure is anxious to recreate the "good old" Akili Smith years.

They say Gabbard is flying up the draft boards fast and the corner from LSU looks like the #1 pick.

Gabbert in Rd 1 or Ponder in Rd 2
