I may be way off here, but someone says their AD said they may not be allowed to broadcast. There could be many reasons, but I just wanted to make sure there were no issues.

Not broadcasting, but will be doing live updates and I received nothing from Lynn or Matt saying it wasn't allowed?

Just to clarify...Teams are not given a chance to hold practice or shoot arounds at Kentucky Bank Arena. In my opinion this is a bad move by the host. These kids have worked all season to get where they are and to not have a chance to practice or shoot around before these big games is a big disadvantage to the kids. The Arena seating is someting new for most of these kids. It can be a very tough adjustment to shoot in this atmosphere. Kids deserve a chance to shoot around and get used to this before walking on to floor for the biggest game of there career.

In the regional tournament teams seem to take the moment more seriously and put a lot of emphasis on making every possession count. I could see the smart coaches look to use the inside game more because of this especially in the first round until the outside guys get their shooting eyes. If I am not mistaken Holmes reluctance to go inside last year led to a lot of errant shots and bad shooting percentages. I say advantage teams with a good inside presence or one that can get to the basket for high percentage shots. Will be interesting to see how teams adjust to the shooting backdrop as the tournament goes on.

Has anyone heard anything regarding broadcasting rules? I heard a rumor. Is this the ghost of 2009 rearing it's ugly head?

Ugh... Not that again...

I don't recall any issues last year. Hope there aren't any this year either. It's only right that you get to broadcast these games.

I have a buddy who works in the media who made a similiar observation. I was hoping it wasn't accurate.

Great news.

CCR how did you manage to get Joe out of the stands and into the booth? Will be very entertaining, as always, to listen to the broadcast.

Indeed. From the few times I've talked to him, he has been nothing but class. Great guy.
