February 25, 201115 yr I actually picked up The Big Chill soundtrack for a buck the other day. Pulp Fiction and O Brother, Where Art Thou are both much higher on my list. Glad to see Garden State come in there as it's one I've always really liked.
February 25, 201115 yr What about Remember the Titans, great music from late 60's and early 70's JD I agree JD. Such a classic movie for all ages.

Rushmore 24. O Brother, Where Are Thou 25. Garden State I'd change a few things: Scratch "2001: A Space Odyssey", "The Harder They Come", "Grease" and "Flashdance". I'd move at least "Singles" and "O Brother..." up in their standing. I'd add "The Royal Tenenbaums", "Almost Famous", "High Fidelity" and "Dead Man Walking" to the list. A few honorable mentions would be "Hackers", "Romeo + Juliet", "Donnie Darko" (soundtrack...not score), "I Am Sam", and "Elizabethtown" (both volumes".

I don't do many soundtracks, because they're usually either awful or thinly-veiled musicals (and I loathe musicals). The three I bolded should definitely be higher on the list, and lose some of the campy musicals -- or just put them in the proper category.
February 25, 201115 yr Author Pulp Fiction and O Brother, Where Art Thou are both much higher on my list. I'd move at least "Singles" and "O Brother..." up in their standing. The list isn't a ranking of the top 25. I'm pretty sure its just chronological order...FYI.

February 25, 201115 yr My favorite soundtrack is "The Crow"... Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Stone Temple Pilots, Violent Femmes, Pantera, etc. I love it! And the music works so great with the movie. Singles is very high on my list as well... Also love the Pirate Radio soundtrack.

February 25, 201115 yr Dream a little Dream Rocky Horror Picture show Jesus Christ Superstar (Broadway version is actually better than movie soundtrack though) Rocky
February 25, 201115 yr I would like to have seen a breakdown of original soundtracks and soundtracks like Forrest Gump and the Big Chill where it's just poached from the generation.
