His teammates were encouraging him to come to the huddle, after Thomas fouled out, some were even yelling at him. Then he and Thomas had a testy conversation, and he never left the bench to cheer or anything. I also believed he ducked the handshake as well. Wonder what Cronin will do?

February 13, 201115 yr I'm not a UC fan, but I would still like to see them make the tournament. With saying that, I think this was a killer. They needed the season sweep over St. John's and lost to them at home. Losing to teams that are equal or close in similarity at home is big. To have a chance of making it, beating Louisville at home, Providence on the road, and Marquette on the road has to happen. They may even need to beat Georgetown at least once. I hope for them that it works out, but it's looking very tough.

February 13, 201115 yr It was a lane violation on the 1st shot... Not the free throws where Bishop stepped in. It was on the 2 FTs prior to that. If you taped it watch it. 23 shoots. 24 gets fouled. 23 shoots. I'm guessing 23 is the better shooter and he made both of them. Someone on that staff has to catch that. It very well might have cost them the game. Anthony "Hot Plate" Buford caught it.

After starting 15-0 this season UC has gone 4-6....... 2007-2008 UC stood 13-12 after a February 20 win over South Florida. UC then lost seven straight games to end the season..including a loss to Pitt in the first round of the Big East tournament and a loss to Bradley in the first round of the CBI. UC finished the season 13-19 2008-2009 UC stood 17-8 after a February 11 win over St John's UC then to lost 6 of their next 7...including a loss at South Florida, a home loss to Seton Hall and a first round Big East tournament loss to DePaul (DePaul had been winless in conference play). UC finished the season 18-14 2009-2010 UC stood 14-7 after a January 30 win over Providence UC then lost 7 of their next 9 heading into the Big East tournament. UC finished the season 19-16 Doesn't say exactly but it's really bad.
February 13, 201115 yr I watched the post-game presser. I have to give Mick credit. After such a potentially devastating loss he was fairly restrained. He could've laid it at the feet of his big boy but said they simply made way too many mistakes.
