This sounds like a statement game for the red Colonels. Let's see if they can back this up now with big games against the other top 9th region teams down the stretch. They could clearly establish themselves as the favorite to represent the 9th in Lexington by handling Holmes, Holy Cross, Ryle, CovCath again, Cooper and Boone Co.

I'm sure there will be some twists and turns before the season ends but they are playing well.

Imo things are setting up for a very exciting regional where you can't say that any one team is the clear favorite.

Things will become a little more clear when Dixie travels to Holmes next (1/31) Monday.

Only thing clear is we should have a great event to watch come Regional Championship week!

Who's in Dixie's district?

Dixie, Lloyd, St. Henry, Ludlow

I agree.

Was just stating that a Holmes win over Dixie or lopsided win by Dixie over Holmes would let us know how much ahead Dixie is compared to the rest of the region AT THIS POINT.

And Villa Madonna

Thanks...forgot about them.

Dixie Heights -- Hassel 5, Waller 1, Trammel 9, Hatton 16, Stansberry 12, Cohorn 2, Pike 7, Muntis 5, Evans 2.

Covington Catholic -- Connelly 2, Thelen 11, Baker 2, Maschinot 6, Riedinger 2, Cleves 3, Hudepohl 2, Hyden 4, Amzen 2, Frederick5, Murphy 2.

Hatton picked up defensive player of the game and all tourney. Thelen also picked up all tournament.

Good showing for Dixie to lose a close game to Western then blow CC out.

I noticed Waller in the box score. Didn't he quit earlier in the year? Does anyone know what happened? He was in the stands one game in street clothes and now he appears to be back on the team?

You may be thinking of Harris.... he left for personal reasons. Waller has always been on the team.
