I noticed Waller in the box score.

Waller used to be enrolled at Holmes and didnt Ricky Waller play there in the 70's?

Dixie played really good defense in this game. The Blue colonels had fits with their man to man and Dixie's 1-3-1 defense. Cohorn was constantly causing turnovers and giving the Blue colonels guards fits. That kid is a beast when he's on the floor.

Ricky started at Holmes and ended up at Boone.

Anyone know Cohorn's number?

Haven't seen him play in a while but for some reason I'm thinking it's 32.

It will be interesting to see how the "2" plays out for the next month for CCH. Do we see the minutes divvied up a bit differently than we've seen so far?

Any guard that comes off the bench and hits shots has a chance to play a lot.

It may be the #1 issue right now. Of course, it could be the #2 issue of the team starts falling apart mentally.

You have seen this team enough Clyde, who do think that might be?

You're right Clyde. Cohorn is #32.

Wow....weakest District in the Region for sure.

Isn't NewCath the only team in the 36th with a winning record?

Yes they are likely the 2nd weakest.

Yes they are likely the 2nd weakest.

The top 3 in the 36th are better OVERALL than the top 3 of the 34th, but the bottom two aren't even close. Ludlow and Villa are much better than Dayton and Bellevue.

Let me first say that in no way am I doing any second-guessing. I see the Colonels about once a week or once every two weeks where Mike sees them every day. I have no clue who's doing what they're supposed to in practice, etc.

With that said I think their best pure offensive player at the 2 is Fredrick. I came into the season very skeptical of the young man's ability to contribute at the varsity level. After seeing him and his offensive skills I now believe he can contribute right now offensively. If it were simply a skills contest he would win the 3-point shooting contest. Great form. Great handle as well. If he can hang defensively I can see his PT increasing.

Brett R deserves to start. He deserves the chance to work his way out of any shooting funk he might be in. I root for him to succeed and hope he plays so well that he plays 30 minutes per game.

Two years, then transferred to Boone County instead of sticking around at Holmes and winning a regional championship.

It sounds like Dixie played pretty will this weekend, and are the team to beat in the 9th.

But looking at the schedule and I may be wrong, but it looks like CovCath played 3 games within 24 hours.
