Much needed win for the Bearcats on the road with how their last two have went. After the season is over, this could definitely count for one that was needed to make the tournament.

Guess one thread wasn't going to be enough

It was a big win. :D

Big hoop by Gates for the win. UC gets the royal treatment when they visit Nova and St. John's. Maybe one day they can be a major player again so they don't have to play at those small on campus arenas.

Key stat of the game?

St.Johns' shot 25 free throws to UC's 7....Amazing.

Definetly a win that the Cats needed though in order to stay on track for making the tourney.

UC will be at home for 4 of their next 6 games. Rutgers and West Virginia at home their next two games, then travel to Pitt and DePaul, and get St. John's and Louisville at home. If they can go 4-2 or 5-1 over that stretch that would put them at 21-5 or 22-4 overall and 8-5 or 9-4 in league play with remaining games against Providence, G'town (twice), UConn, and Marquette. If the Cats are to make the tourney, they definetly need to take care of business over the 6 game stretch coming up.

4-2 is an absoulte must IMO. 5-1 should get them in unless they don't win another game. Big big win. They have work to do, but their effort is great every game.

If they can go 5-1 over the next six I don't see how they miss the tournament.

I agree. The key is for them to take care of business at home, beat Depaul on the road, then have a good showing at Pitt, win or lose.

By losing out

They have a pretty soft portion of the schedule coming up.

The Big East: Where the soft part of your schedule has 4 of 7 against top 35 RPI teams...
