January 19, 201115 yr Jim Cornelison of the Chicago Blackhawks performed prior to the Bears-Seahawks game. Unreal. The electricity in that place was really neat. Everyone sings and cheers during this rendition. Bears are bumping an American Idol singer for this week's game to bring Cornelison back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgDyip44TZo
January 19, 201115 yr I don't know anything about the best ones ever, but I know one of the worst ones ever. A few weeks ago at an Ole Miss basketball game the guy started forgot the words then started completely over about 45 seconds later.
January 19, 201115 yr There is a male cop that does it at the Bengals game from time to time who does an amazing job.
January 19, 201115 yr That was a stirring rendition, but I will admit I'm a bit partial to Marvin Gaye's at the 1983 NBA All Star game at The Great Western Forum.
January 19, 201115 yr That was a stirring rendition, but I will admit I'm a bit partial to Marvin Gaye's at the 1983 NBA All Star game at The Great Western Forum. No doubt. Easily my favorite:
January 19, 201115 yr I'm not a big fan of people doing their own renditions like Gaye's above. One that I did enjoy though, was Colbie Callait at last year's NFC Championship game.
January 19, 201115 yr There is a male cop that does it at the Bengals game from time to time who does an amazing job. I know that there is a Cincinnati firefighter that is the best that i have ever heard.
January 19, 201115 yr Chicago really knows how to support the National Anthem. These are not realluy the best renditions, but the fan support is amazing!
January 19, 201115 yr I know that there is a Cincinnati firefighter that is the best that i have ever heard. He might be a firefighter, I think it's the same guy we are thinking of. He is amazing.
January 19, 201115 yr Chicago is unique in their Anthem performances. I love the way they get excited about it.
January 19, 201115 yr He might be a firefighter, I think it's the same guy we are thinking of. He is amazing. Same guy. He did it at a game I went to during the summer and I cried. Granted, I'm a sucker for a really good Anthem, but he was incredible. But yeah, Marvin's was best.
January 19, 201115 yr No votes for Carl Lewis? I always enjoyed when Mo Cheeks assisted the girl who forgot the lyrics and the two finished as a duo
January 19, 201115 yr This is still my favorite. 1991 Super Bowl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AOe0ywnWes
January 19, 201115 yr The Cincinnati Firefighter is John Winfrey. He does just about EVERY Cincinnati sporting event. Honestly, I wish that they would switch it up every once in a while. LABS, I loved the Chicago National Anthem. It gave me chills listening to it & you could feel the electricity from the crowd. Just awesome.
