Myrtle Beach Vacation Recommendations

Will do Clyde, thanks. We will be going to Savannah for a couple of days at the tail end of this trip also, I have a new great-nephew I need to see.

Great pizza place in downtown Savannah. Vinnie Van Go-Go's.

We love Myrtle Beach. Margaritaville, T-Bonz, Hard Rock Cafe are some of the places we like to eat. If you like Live Rock n Roll, look up where The Tim Clark Band is playing. Tim is from Ky and puts on a great show. Have fun.

OK, we're leaving mid next week and I thought I'd bring this back up.

Gimme your restaurant suggestions / reviews.

Also, if there are any attractions you especially enjoyed, tell me about it. We want to go parasailing, and maybe a 1/2 day fishing trip. We will definitely do some pier fishing also.

You staying in Myrtle or North Myrtle? If north, the Boundary House just over the SC/NC line in Calabash is really good. The Dockside on the same road is good as well.

We're in Myrtle about 2.5 miles north of where 501 comes in. I'll make a note of it though and if we are up that way some day, we may try one of them, thanks.

You're not too far from there really. Preston's is another good place in North Myrtle. Seafood buffet, Alaskan crab legs, oysters, prime rib, T-bone, mahi, flounder on the bar.

Another good place is Drunken Jack's in Murrells Inlet.

We eat a lot of seafood when we are at the beach. My kids both LOVE crablegs and Mrs 2C and I love just about all of it. I appreciate the suggestions, keep em coming.

Ever buy it fresh off the boat? We were in Charleston and went to a dock and bought it right off the boat. Had it for a meal at the house one night when we didn't feel like getting cleaned up to go out.

Sounds awesome!!!

If your looking for great ribs. Go to J. Edwards and be sure to get the onion loaf.

Take a short drive down to Murrells Inlet and eat at Creek Ratz. It's right on the water and has the best grouper sandwich. The fried pickles for an appetizer are for real too.

I agree with you on this one. Awesome place to hang out at night drinking a few beers and eating some good pizza. Would be a great place to work if you can handle the heat of the kitchen, they were jamming to some Iron Maiden when I ordered.

I can't believe you've never been to Myrtle Beach. That's a pretty common place for NKY folks.

Sea Captain's House in Myrtle Beach would be a recommendation. Good food and nice view of the Atlantic.

Dick's Last Resort is a fun place for dinner. The food is just ok, but the waiters insult the customers and make them wear paper hats with various sayings on them. We laughed the entire time we were there.
