January 17, 201115 yr Author I'm more excited than usual at this stage of the season. I actually like all 4 teams that are left. These should be 2 great play-off games.
January 17, 201115 yr I can't see the Steelers giving up that many points to the Jets, but I don't know how much the Steelers can score either. Look at what they just did to the unstoppable Patriots.
January 17, 201115 yr Rooting for the Steelers in this one. Also hoping Hines Ward snaps Bart Scotts jaw in two. Wouldn't mind seeing someone "accidentially" roll up the fat man on the sidelines either.
January 17, 201115 yr The Steelers are impossible to run on with Troy in the game so that will make it tough for NY IMO. The Steelers can have issues in their protection so I could definitely see the Jets having some success in getting to Big Ben and slowing the Steelers down. I'm expecting a very low scoring game. I'll say 14-10, with Big Ben making the plays at the end of the game to take the Steel city to the Super Bowl. I'm for the Jets but I will pull for whoever wins this game in the Super Bowl......I like defense and smashmouth football .

January 18, 201115 yr As much as it pains me to say it, I'm taking the Steelers in this one. The Jets barely edged a pretty weak Colts team, then outlasted the Patriots in a game where the Pats couldn't do anything right. I would normally credit the Jets defense, and they played spectacular that game, but I've never seen Brady throw so many bad balls. At any rate, the Steelers' defense is too much for the Jets' offense. And Mark Sanchez just doesn't have the ability or moxie to thread the needle the way he would need to to score much in this game. The Jets' D is about as tough as it gets, but I think the Steelers have the type of offense that can move the ball regardless, unfortunately. They've got a tough running back, their rapist-under-center is usually pretty tough to sack, and it seems like Wallace is constantly open no matter the coverage.
January 19, 201115 yr Aaron Smith will participate in practice this week according to Tomlin. Probably at most will have limited snaps, but wonderful to have your best D lineman back for the championship game, especially at home. Can spell Ziggy, should leave the Dline more fresh. Ziggy can play both sides, perhaps rotating to spell Keisel as well. Looking good for some sort of action for Aaron.:thumb:
January 19, 201115 yr To quote the immortal Clubber Lang: "Pain" Well, some anyway. Probably not as much as last week.
