Aaron Smith will participate in practice this week according to Tomlin. Probably at most will have limited snaps, but wonderful to have your best D lineman back for the championship game, especially at home. Can spell Ziggy, should leave the Dline more fresh. Ziggy can play both sides, perhaps rotating to spell Keisel as well. Looking good for some sort of action for Aaron.:thumb:

Ziggy is playing very well right now. I think he has a sack in each of the last 3 games...

At this time of the season, it's also a bonus to have that one extra day, having played on Saturday, to rest your vets weary bones. Can't wait until Sunday evening.

I can't believe I'm actually rooting for the Steelers for a 2nd straight week.

As much as I dislike them, I do respect the way they run the organization. Second only to New England IMO.

I find it kind of strange that the Jets this week in the pressers are giving the Steelers all the praise in the world, border line love fest,. They have made statements like "it's an honor to play the Steelers", "Ben (Rothlesberger) is the best, you can't rush him/sack him, he will throw defenders off like it's nothing". There were others like this. I have to believe given Ryan's and his players history of trashing the opponet, disrespecting anything about them and "making it personal" that Rex Ryan and co. are trying a differentb kind of mind game. They obviously got to Brady and others by their talk, imo Brady was beaten before they got on the field. The Steelers do not fall for that kind of stuff so I think that the Jets may be trying for lack of a better term a reverse stategy this week. I don't think the Steelers will fall into the love fest/king of football talk from the Jets either. As for the rest of the week with the Jets......get your  ready,.

I don't see anybody beating the Steelers. I hope and pray I'm wrong.

Steelers 27

Jets 10

With the Steelers scoring one defensive or special teams TD.

BTW, T. Palamalu is back, that is not good news for any Steeler opponet.

New England only figured it out in the past decade or so. Pittsburgh's front office has been doing it right a lot longer, and I would argue better.

I find that quite odd myself...

I HATE, and I can't stress that word enough, everything and everyone associated in any way, shape, or form with the Jets. The Steelers are the good guys this week.

Sounds like, you will be pulling for the NFC team in the super bowl.

Most likely....If it's the Bears, I may root for an earthquake...

I don't think they're second to anyone. In any sport.

Voting from the heart, Steelers.
Me too, for the J-E-T-S.

I don't see the Jets scoring much on the Steelers, will be a very tough row to hoe in Pittsburgh. Hopefully the Jets D will step up big for a 2nd straight week. In a low scoring game with two good defenses, anything can happen. Should be fun.

Steelers by 10.
