December 4, 201015 yr So I took the LuckyDog for a walk this morning, deliberately waiting until the weatherman had said it was snowing in Louisville, because I like walking in the snow until it actually accumulates. :lol: Alas, it was like walking through a pellet storm. Those weren't snow flakes, they were ice balls. :irked:
December 4, 201015 yr We have about 3 inches of snow in Owsley County and still a steady snow. Messed me up today in that I had 3 different work crews coming to the new house I am building. I guess setting the heat pump units, and finishing the bathroom tile and kitchen cabinets will have to wait until Monday.

December 4, 201015 yr I'm with you...Snow sucks. Actually snow doesn't suck as long as it stays where it belongs...rooftops, grassy areas and tree branches. Once it encroaches upon the streets, sidewalks and steps, then it sucks.
December 4, 201015 yr My favorite kind of snow so far, at least in Boone County and that is snow that only sticks to the grass, scrubs and parked cars. Nothing sticking (at least from what I can see outside my window) to the streets or sidewalks! :thumb:
December 5, 201015 yr Whatever the prediction is for central KY, I'll take the under. These things rarely pan out. Looks like I am wrong again! At least 3 inches in downtown Mt. Sterling and serial coming down pretty good. Thanks to nWo for his weather expertise!
December 5, 201015 yr Chris Bailey was saying 2-4 for our area. Lexington was saying 1-3. Cincinnati was saying less than 1. Thats why I get my weather info from kyweathercenter.com

The side roads were starting to get pretty slick when I was out a couple hours ago. A lot is due to the wind blowing the snow back on the roads. There was a wreck on 536 by Cain's 'airport'.
