Last comment, probably what this team needed. We played a good team and we came unglued. Forced things, made mistakes, got out of rhythm, looked like the young team with holes at certain positions that everyone predicted of us preseason. Hats off to UCONN, played a great tourny.

Hopefully UK learns from tonight and bounces back strong.

They will be alright but lack of depth at PF and PG will hurt if Jones or Knight get in foul trouble.

So how was Uconn not ranked top 25 in preseason? Also Kemba Walker is kinda good.

They weren't very good last year... What gives GT? Besides the obvious that Walker is just taking over.

It really is just Walker growing into the natural ability he always had. Plus Oriaki made a big jump and their young guys are feeding off their confidence. I still think they will have a rough patch or two as opponents improve and figure out ways to slow down Kemba. They just caught fire in Maui, but their flaws will be exposed some down the road...

I'll take 3-1 out of that Pacific swing. Wish the final score was a little closer, but not disappointed in the least out of that trip.

Ok, first the sky is not falling! This team has actually played a little bit better than I expected at this point, except for tonight.

Tonight's win by UConn was not a fluke, they beat #2 Michigan State last night and now #9 UK. I am not sure what people expected out of this team early in the season, especially without Kanter? The team is young, and they need work, by March they will be okay, not great! With Kanter they will be a team who could make it to the Final Four, without him anywhere from Sweet 16 - 32.

Cal has said all along, if you were listening, this is a young team that needs a lot of work, and we need to be patient with them. Cal also said he didn't like the whole Maui trip with such a young team.

Wouldn't you want that for a young team?

Uconn will be good. Whether Maui was simply the high point of their season or as a jumping board to greater things I'll wait to see. They have a solid base of returners to start from and they definately looked the crispest of the teams this tournament. Still, I know at least pretournament I knew Kentucky was a long way off from being ready for March and I'd say after tonight my opinion is still there. That also goes for a lot of the other teams in the field, Michigan St. maybe excluded though after the games I'd say Michigan St. fans would have to think that their team isn't yet where they need to be.

Nope! I would rather be back home practicing, Such a long trip, and to Hawaii, is also a distraction a young team does not need.

Exposed.

Youth exposed, depth exposed, lack of a defensive post presence exposed. They got ripped.

Wow Kemba Walker looks like a sure fire 1st team All-American. He was unreal, and I love his enthusiasm. The big kid for UConn played really well.

Knight really struggled but what you have with him is a 2g playing the point. Going to be some definite ups and downs with him. He is going to have to learn on the fly, and distribute the ball.

The game last night may have inflated some opinions of this team but I think they will be OK, but there are going to be more games like this down the line...but they have a thin margin of error.

Terrence Jones was real good again tonight, and UK will struggle with him not on the floor...no surprise things went south once he went out.

Miller got his points when damage was done.

Going to be a work in progress.

Im good with a 3-1 road trip.

UCONN would probably beat them again in March. UCONN is under the radar. Walker is a stud, nobody on UK could hand Orehki. The Napier kid reminds me of Downey from South Carolina. UCONN plays well together as a team.

UK obviously a young but very talented team. With Jones out of the lineup they are just really hurting which was most of the first half. The team could use a true point guard as well.
